[TRIBE016] Timmy Regisford feat. Lynn Lockamy – At The Club (Timmy Regisford & Adam Rios Remixes) [Tribe Records]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=77732
500 limited vinyl copies of the track were released on 8th November and were sold out in two weeks with over 10,000 Youtube hits in the last month. Look out for new mixes dropping at the end of next month from Sonar Kollektiv’s main man from Berlin, Dixon. At The Club immediately puts you in the imagery position of being in a dark club as the first few bars of beats and haunting synths come in and then Lynn’s sexy hooky vocals tempt you in sending you straight onto the dance floor with her! There’s no doubt that this one will definitely have people bouncing around in clubs around the world. Timmy has been in the music industry more than 25 years first working as for MCA Records as their A&R Director, where he developed artists Loose Ends and Colonel Abrams. He would soon go on to sign acts Guy and Eric B & Rakim. Regisford later became Vice President of A&R at Motown Records, signing acts Milira, Blaze, Basic Black, Today, and Johnny Gill. Along with his A&R work for these labels he is credited in many remix projects with Patti LaBelle, Bobby Womack, Gladys Knight aswell as being one of the most respected djs in the world. This new album project seems him move into unchartered territory with every track designed to move people on the floor both through the song and beat. Look out for the ‘At The Club‘ album which will be dropping in stores, January 2011, featuring two other tracks with Lynn Lockamy, other amazing collaborations with the sensational Arnold Jarvis and other established artists such as Fela Kuti and The Djoon Experience featuring Kenny Bobien. This classic track previously released on Soulistic Music in South Africa and has been a dance floor stomper at our Tribe parties so much so that we licensed it and enlisted Roland Clark to bring his amazing talents to proceedings and provide an inspiring vocal into anthem status and at the same time purveying a very positive message ‘our seeds will grow so have faith and give light someday to our way. As if that was not enough our good friend Rocco joined the EP by providing further remixes bringing his unique musical energy to form a very strong digital package. Telonius & Prince Albert – Last Night (Incl. Art Of Tones Mix) [Gomma Dance Tracks]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=100976
Here comes the new single of Telonius aka Jonas Imbery, one of the 2 owners of Gomma. DJ, super producer and man behind nouveau house outfit TELONIUS. ‘Last Night’ featuring the mysterious but fabulous Prince Albert incl. a great Art of Tone Remix ! A super sexy pop dance tune that reminds of the early 90ies smooth poptracks of people like Prince, Madonna or even Snap. There are a lot of rumors about this Prince Albert. The word has it that he’s a guy who already landed in the top 20 in 14 countries and peaked at #2 on the UK singles chart a couple of years ago, also earning him a Grammy nomination. You might quite know the voice of Prince Albert already? The only thing which is really sure that ‘Prince Albert’ loved the stuff of Telonius so he flew to Munich to work with him. Immediately there was the idea to create a very special track together. Here is the result: ‘Last Night’ !

[TRIBE013] Bevan Godden & Arnaud D – Muziki Wa Africa EP (Incl. Manoo & Zepherin Saint Remixes) [Tribe Records]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=70783
As summer draws to a close here in London, Tribe aims to keep up its impressive 2010 release schedule and its quest to showcase some of the freshest House music from around the world…… both undiscovered talent and some more established names aswell. First up this month we’ve got a killer EP from an exciting new partnership, Beven Godden and Arnaud D. Beven from Natal, South Africa bringing the afro vibes and Arnaud from Lyon in France bringing his deep flavour to proceedings, who have come together to deliver two rocking tracks with remixes from Tribe’s very own Zepherin Saint and Manoo who’s back following his awesome remix for us on Sister Pearl last year.

Arnaud D has been making some serious noise for the last year with a string of very strong releases on top labels such as Seasons Limited and Realtone Records in the last twelve months.
Up to last year, Beven had been producing hip hop working with various local musicians in his home town but had always been a big fan of soulful house music and decided to contact Arnaud about working on a collaboration and after only a few months, Ntobenthle and Muzik Wa Afrika were born.

Ntobenthle is a deep percussive driving cut that slowly builds into a crescendo, then enters centre stage the amazing chanting vocals of ‘Mse’ from Cazi Connection that will grab the crowds attention instantly. The song is an Xhosa song from the rural eastern Cape area in South Africa and comes with remixes of Zepherin Saint and Manoo.

Manoo’s mix of the track takes the vibe on a new journey, using the vocal superbly creating a hypnotic groove with its infectious base line and amazing synth solo that leads of this floor filler.

Similarly, Zepherin Saint’s remix shows his diversity as he creates a sound clash between dub horns, tech beats and hi life guitars. Fusing these elements, Zepherin’s mix is most definitely a big room peak time player!

Musik Wa Afrika exemplifies the authentic ‘ancestral soul’ song, which is now a very big part of dance music today. Arnaud has created some heavy beats and deep dark synths, which build a great intensity that you just get lost in. The song is a spoken word track featuring Lucky Shinta aka Dr Mystic Cha who speaks about the spirituality of Africa.

WRITING & PRODUCTION:

Song: Ntobenthle
Music produced, mixed and arranged by Bevan Godden & Arnaud Daleo, vocals by”Mse”from Cazi Connection.
Remixes by Manoo and Zepherin Saint

Song: Muziki Wa Africa
Spoken words by Lucky Shinta aka Dr Mystic… Chant by Litlabolane Tse Chesang

All tracks mastered by Matt Bandy & Toni Economides at The Garden

[TRIBE012] Duce Martinez featuring Kenny Bobien Don’t Be Afraid (Ian Friday & MKTL Master Kev & Tony Loreto Remixes) []

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=63213
Tribe are proud to reunite two New Jersey house legends, Duce Martinez and Kenny Bobien for their debut release on the label.Duce and Kenny first came together with Jose Burgos in 1999 under the guise of Underground Ministries and produced the underground gospel classic ‘I Shall Not Be Moved (Stand Still)’, which still gets massive reactions on dance floors across the world today. The track was released on the now defunct Flat line Records label in New York, and then re-released with new mixes on Soulfuric in 2007. ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ however is a much different production and shows Kenny’s other side as he drops a simply beautiful song that will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up after just a few bars of the track! Duce’s simple drums and exquisite keys complement the vocal so well to create a deep house classic, at a time when there’s not many tracks around like this anymore. Keeping that New York feel to the project we’re pleased to present two sets of remixes, the first from Libation’s main man Ian Friday who ups the tempo and takes the groove firmly to the heart of the dance floor. The remixes have become a firm favourite at Ian’s Libation party in New York for the last 4 months. The other set of mixes come from new kids on the block Master Kev and Tony Loreto (MKTL) who are making a lot of noise of late and deliver two very different remixes ensuring this package has something for everyone. The ‘Club Vocal Mix’ strips the vocal back and uses conterminous keys and an impulsive backing to create a hypnotic feel for the bigger rooms. The ‘Deeper Vocal’ adds some beef to the original and uses super strings to highen the tension to great effect. The track featured on our Tribe WMC 2010 sampler and has been receiving support for the last few months from the likes of Louie Vega, Timmy Regisford, Ian Friday and Master Kev to name a few.
