Atfunk – Something About You [Timewarp]

Atfunk, one of the best producers in Ibiza returns to Timewarp with an amazing nu disco house and tech funk song. Something about you as the title states is indeed something special for all the nu disco groovers out there! Blended with Atfunk’s unique minimal house tech and downtempo style, no need to say that after many releases on our label and sub- label (kraak records) Atfunk is one of the greatest talent on our roster since the beginning of our digital releases back in 2007!

This song is just an amazing and great combination of nu disco, tech house, nu funk and nu jazz concept. Maybe we can better describe it as the sound of 2011, as it meant to be. Live instruments and great vocals from Naomy Clarke aka Navy Red are taking the song into the depths of Atfunk’s world. The song is already produced with a super nice video that can be found on our youtube channel!

Timewarp inc is taking care of the first remix by transforming the song into a great nu disco theme, full of grooves and pumping beats to rule the dance-floors! Trotter is doing also another excellent remix more disco more funky and super groovy.

Atfunk – Something about you will be available in June 17th for sale in special edition CDR and digital download at timewarpstore and all mp3 retailers across the internet.

We bring you the best of best in prime time television drama riddled with background intrigues, and express burials at sea, oh yes, Sometimes reality is the strangest fantasy of all!!We are in a State of War, a “war on peace” and we are losing it for the sake of this Wall street Journey into the kingdom of Deep rooted Greed. To some these are all just Minor Things, the norm of everyday life, but for the not so easily fooled and evermore aware, it has all gone too far… The end is near, and no, the world will not implode, and the rapture won’t pass us over. We are just near a point in time that marks the before and after the day everyone got off their couches, and started using the power of the masses against the tyranny and injustice of the few. Ohh and I almost forgot… here are 7 tracks to rock the house!!

Robert Owens – I’ll Be Your Friend (DZeta N’ Basile & Claire Ripley Mixes) [1Trax]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=99995
Back in 1991, Robert Owens was the name on everyone’s lips. From New York clubs and warehouse mash-ups to London underground parties and acid raves; everyone looked up to Robert as the man responsible for one of the most seminal House records of all time. Now thanks to 1trax the release has been exhumed, re-mastered, and is available to download digitally for the first time on the very year of its 20th Anniversary. Going head-to-head with one of the most prolific House producers of all time, the first package released in May saw remixes from producer prodigies of the now – Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, Gadi Mizrahi (one-half of wolf + lamb), Matt Tolfrey & Inxec. Continuing along these lines, part 2 of the package features more fresh slants on Robert’s original from Italian duo DZeta N’ Basile, and from Claire Ripley. Both mixes are already enjoying repeated radio plays ahead of the Summer release, with major DJ support already commonplace across the world. I’ll Be Your Friend features the sultry vocals of Robert Owens, wildly regarded as the voice of house music. The track promptly caught the attention of every key DJ/Producer of our time and has remained one of House Music’s most influential pieces compositions. Integral to the developing house scene in the mid-Eighties, Robert gained notoriety by singing on a number of underground club tracks. Famed for breathing life and soul into house music, Robert has added his own distinct dimension to a number of tracks of late including ‘Silence’ on 1trax and ‘Greater Love’ on MN2S.
