DJ Mes – Oaklandish [Cajual] {promo}

release date: Aug/11/2011

DJ Mes Oaklandish EP tips off and makes for a disco fast break with Fools Gold. Steady tuff beats shuffle through disco breaks and bass lines like a three man weave leaving the competition staggering. The tune subs in and out between a captivating string lead and a vocal that swishes through your head. In the time it takes you to hit the top of the key, the vocal will have you singing along like a newfound anthem. Fools Gold scores on the dance floor just like a swish from the top of the key.

In the second half, DJ Mes really puts his head in the game with R.O.U.S.. The big bottom bass in this tune is backboard shattering. Straight power forward beats run relentless up the court and deliver an assist to the latin funk loop that goes straight to the hoop. If you like a fast paced game with lots of breaks, freaks, and tweaks that deliver to goods to move your shoes, the O.U.S. is the organization for you.

Pirahnahead and Diviniti; These names are synonymous with quality dance music. With each release they have provided powerful production, smooth vocals, angelic harmony, and overall, musical excellence. This time, the super collaborators return to the foreground with one of the best tracks of 2011, “(Just Like) A Dream”. As the sixth release from Whasdat Music, this soothing track has been supported by the likes of Vinny Da Vinci, Ian Friday, Paris Cesvette and Neil Pierce as well as Phil Asher (who included it on Soul Heaven’s Miami Sampler mix). Also, Joining in as remixers are Charles Webster and Jose Carretas, each with remixes that are stunningly exceptional; we’re talking peaktime play! Both have previously collaborated with Pirahnahead & Diviniti, topping charts on Traxsource.com. (Charles Webster’s ‘Learning to Love Me” and Jose Carretas’ “Life In A Box’). Forest People – Coast Salish EP [Tonality] {promo}

release date: Aug/01/2011

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=102382
An oldie but a goodie, Coast Salish has spent most of its life on a Dat tape – waiting to be exhumed and presented to the World.
This is a wonderful classic deep house EP written by Forest People, inspired by long smoky walks in the outdoors and old records on Guidance. It’s old, it’s raw, and it’s the true spirit of Deep House – no fancy bells or whistles.
Percussion here is by Mr Chi
Solo on Plains Of Abraham is by Wilson Padmos
