Various Artists – Detroit: Deepconstructed [Soiree Records]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=94498
Four veteran Detroit creators, individually accomplished and respected with a long history of deep and inspired electronic and acoustic music.Drivetrain leads off with Driven. Multifunctional and intelligent this one was constructed from the floor up, genuine and raw. Throbbing rhythm and harmonious pads generate the perfect ambience for the signature vocal proclamation.
Next up, Dorian Gig’s, The James Herbert Theory is a courageously deep, tech flow. Gig’s solid Detroit influence clearly takes center stage. Thick, fat chords atop a flanged hi-hat move the air while the syncopated riffs fill the groove.
Dwayne Jensen returns from a long departure with I See The Sun Light. Reflecting Jensen’s untold late night, underground experiences. this crafted pulsating, solid house swing inserts a hypnotic vocal chant for total authenticity.
New to Soiree Records, but a known novice and powerhouse to the cause, Malik Alston’s offering is Dance Jazz. Showing off some extraordinary piano chops, backed-up by a mental sax riff, Alston’s unyielding bass line and acid blips will not disappoint the dance floor.
Detroit: DeepConstucted is music undefined from a place where music does not compromise.

Asymmetric Soul feat. Meital De Razon – If I Change (Incl. Doc Link Mix) [Transport] {promo}

release date: Sep/06/2011

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=105379
Transport Recordings welcomes Asymmetric Soul to the label with their new single “If I Change,” featuring the vocals of Meital De Razon. Asymmetric Soul first came together in 2001 from opposite parts of the world (Russia, USA, and Haiti) making Tel Aviv the act’s home base. Asymmetric Soul creates motivating, uplifting, and inspiring house music with an emphasis on a soulful, almost ritualistic groove. As a live act their shows blend together electronica with rock, funk, Caribbean grooves, and powerful vocals. The act often collaborate with leading Israeli vocalists and songwriters, such as the contribution on “If I Change” from the fantastic Meital De Razon.

The single starts with Asymmetric Soul’s own deep and melodic vocal affair. The group’s own member Lonya delivers a dub version of the original while ACT & K.V.L. create a lovely and spacious remix take. Liberate Recordings’ Doc Link further satisfies with a dancefloor-oriented remix and dub, bringing some of his Chicago magic to the single. Another winner from San Francisco’s Transport Recordings.

Osunlade – Envision [Yoruba]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=105314
One of the stand-out tracks from Osunlade’s recent –and more importantly final – house album gets a full release with a fresh re-rub from the Yoruba master himself. The Yoruba Soul mix combines uplifting percussion with deep, wobbly bass and Osunlade’s inimitable vocal to create one of the most unique records of the year. And on the flip, Kaytronik aka Karizma gets to grips with ‘Trinity Ov Me’, creating a typically brilliant, drum-heavy workout that envelopes the listener in a cocoon of live percussion and swirling pads. This is two of the games’ finest producers showing us exactly what house is all about.
