Osunlade – Pyrography [Yoruba]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=93650
Pyrography is the self proclaimed ‘last house album’ from Yoruba head Osunlade. Incorporating the signature Yoruba style, Pyrography effortlessly bridges the gap between electronic and organic. Braced with more vocal tracks than previous house albums, it showcases the musical diversity of label, taking in the recent underground monster ‘Idiocyncracy’, the infectious ?Envision? and the unmistakable Yoruba chant of ?Ser Al Santisimo?. Along with the stunning cover art, each track is accompanied by an artwork piece from renowned Pyrography artist Scott Marr making this a must for followers of the Yoruba label.Osunlade ‘Pyrography’1. Danny J. Lewis – Call His Name / Dawn Rising [Enzyme Black]

http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=93311
Danny J Lewis brings back those dope 90s vibes again with this slam jam double dose of pure underground house music.

Call His Name is an M1 organ infused gospel tinged monster. Stabby chords, mallet hits and sung vocal combine with spoken word combine to devastating effect. Coming in an instrumental for those not feeling the religious overtones 😉

Dawn Rising is the B-Side, an ambient intro’d, deep house cut reminiscent of the classic Nugroove sound of yesteryear but brought right up to date with some heavy sidechain action.

The Hype

Italian producers DJ Vivona vs. Newland & Impact debut their first single on King Street keeping in step with the anthem-House their known for releasing. “Holdin’ On” is a straight up vocal diva-addled dance record whose verses & chorus is belted out by one of their local divas Daria B. Nine mixes give this tune variety and beat-fueled moderation from the chunky Original to the deeper Mixes and Dubs by fellow Italian house producers Newland and Robbymasi, to the more organic souful Nuyorican-ish far-reaching jazzy & House mixes by NYC mainstay, Louie Balo. Pablo Martinez brings fourth a deep yet sexy feel his with mixes. A great variety of mixes are presented here to please many dance floor flavors!
