Mikki Afflick principle of Soul Sun Soul Music is back with a deep Afro track, with beautiful spoken words by NYC spoken word artist Mona Bode. I am Africa EP delivers three producers that features three totally different styles in their productions.

Mikki Afflick An AfflickteD Soul Mix gives you the essences from a women’s point of view. In the deep forest a women with her natural beauty and proud of body. Afflick’s shows her signature style with percussion and dramatic keys.

Khanya Balani and Dr.Thiza both Soul Sun Soul Music artist and both from South Africa, show they different but unique sound in this production. Khanya smooth afro-jazz sound, and Dr. Thiza with his deep tribal afro influence.

Mona Bode first appeared on the scene just last year, and with a chart topping smash ” My first Love ” released on CyberJamz Records., that landed her in the top 20’s on Traxsource Top 100 chart.

Khanya Balani has release a chart topping single entitled “Again” which landed him on Legendary Tony Humhries November Top 10 Traxsource chart, and placed in him in the top teens on both Deep and Soulful Dance Traxsource Top 100 charts.

Dr. Thiza released his first Ep entitled Seasonal Changes, and received great reviews, debuting on Traxsource Top 100 album chart, and was in heavy rotation on internet radio shows, and dance clubs.

Mikki Afflick is no new comer to the house scene, but started producing only a few years ago she has excecutive produced over thirty productions, numerous EP’s , albums and as worked with some of house music’s new a upcoming producers.

MIX DESCRIPTIONS:
1. Christopher Wilde Sidewalk Vox – Cape Town’s Christopher Wilde delivers an accompanying full vocal treatment of his tech fueled ‘Sidewalk Dub’ which was introduced on the PT 1 package. He knocks it out of the park once again by skillfully blending elements of deep and tribal house with distinct African flavours. Swinging percussion, bending bass and twisted lines become hypnotic and driving under Alex’s inspiring lyrics and vocal. PHAT!

2. Dave Doyle Remix – Back once again on the remix duties, UK’s rising star Dave Doyle delivers a truly soulful masterpiece oozing musicality with his signature funky ass melodies, lush keys and ultra tight programming!!! There is never a dull moment in his productions & this certainly proves that with the magic he brings to The White Light.

3. IOSUPASTAR Deep N’ Soul Dub – Fresh, funky filth courtesy of Spain by way of Portugal Producer/Dj Miguel Serra aka “IOSUPASTAR.” ‘IO’ explores the deep and soulful side of house music, utilizing deft touches of deep Rhodes and synths, quirky percussion and one nasty little bassline. HOTT!

4. Di Pascali Dub Mix – DP re-works the music bed that comes in after the breakdown on his ‘Deep Vox’ mix with stunning results. Sparse vocals are re-designed with hypnotics effects and the ol’ school stabs keep the energy flowing on this deep house gem.

5. Groove Junkies Deep Afro Mix – The original extended mix from the In The Zone Album sampler gets re-mastered and tweeked. Essential!

ITALIAN YOUNG GUN SETS THE BARR FOR NU-DISCO-FUNK MOVEMENT WITH HIS SOPHOMORE EP ON CLAUDE MONNET’S SSOH RECORDS IMPRINT

Francesco Tarantini – he got tha’ funk. And then some. In his second outing on Parisian innovator Claude Monnet’s SSOH Records, Tarantini serves up a sextet of tracks on an outstanding EP that doesn’t just establish him as a major new player to keep an eye on – but a seriously talented touchstone for a new generation of house music lovers around the world.
Punchy, fat, funk offering Circles kicks proceedings off, cyclical, rotund basslines chugging under punctuating sample drops, driving the tune round and round, easing the EP into its main body. Downtown, with its upbeat rhythm and warping bass drops, builds up with phenomenal energy towards a massive breakdown, climaxing before dropping down into a beautiful, luscious and unanticipated deep house movement. The stuttering, three-quarter beat of Echoes, with its bosom-hugging organ melodies in the bass, its top end percussive treble and infusion of piano melodies in the middle just begs your body to move, Tarantini adding more and more layers to the mix as the tune takes over any spare space in the room. The piano/organ duet that caps it all off before throwing it back down again is a genius moment of inspiration. This is funk and house at its very best.
Giving things a Green Velvet-esque twist is Time To Wait. Deep, dark, funky, wonky and with an experimental edge to it, Time To Wait is perfect for those moments when the lights go down and the big beats drop. It’s House, with practically obese squelching bass and funk-fuelled organs is simply fantastic deep house, before Tarantini brings what is essentially half an album to a close with the huge, 70s-inspired disco track La Disco. Strings, piano, bass, percussion, barely-there breathy vocal samples, La Disco is a riot of heady, orchestral elements that is out and out pure dance floor to its core.

DISTANT PEOPLE
The musical act Distant People is the brainchild of UK DJ and producer Joey Silvero. A former DJ in the vibrant Midlands Drum and Bass scene, Joey caught the House Music bug while running the now defunct record store Fat Grooves. As he began to DJ in House venues like Miss Moneypenny’s and Passion’s Red Room he was drawn to the inevitable path of musical production. Joey developed a connection with two fantastic song writers: Tasita D’ Mour and Patrick Chappell. These two talented veterans have had a great deal of influence on Joey’s musical works.
Joey’s first major release, “Just Sing” on Foliage Records was met with critical praise and commercial success and was a featured track on the Defected Miami Compilation 2009. Joey currently has a slew of new releases on Large, Purple, Sole Channel, Metrogroove and Tribe and from now also with Gotta Keep Faith. He can be heard regularly as a DJ on SSR Radio and is soon to be joining the international DJ circuit.

PATRICK CHAPPELL
Chappell to the world, Patrick to family and friends. Chappell has always been an entertainer. He started singing and dancing in grammar school at age seven. He performed weekly for a different classroom for two years. At age eleven his saxophone became his next love. He has played in many large ensembles including concert bands, jazz bands and marching bands. Chappell has performed in cover bands and original bands all over the southeast region of the United States, as well as studio projects in Spain and Sweden contributing both instrumental and vocal talents. Chappell now resides in Holland, and has been a feature act in many clubs and festivals mostly under the representation of SoulSessions. Holland is now the home base from which Chappell has started to make his mark musically on Europe. He has become a respected singer, songwriter and entertainer working with many established names in Holland and Europe. Ralf Gum, Danny Marquez, Daniel Bovie, Gene Farris, Gregor Salto to name a few. Chappell has released several singles in the last years and a couple that are climbing the charts, “Lift You Up” and “Just Sing”. The future seems bright with many more hopeful hits to come.
