The R&B chanteuse Sybil is back and on par with “Troubled Waters”. A song written from her heart with pure emotion laid bare for the global stage. Sybil has always been an amazing vocalist and songwriter with R&B/Dance classic hits like “Don’t Make Me Over”, “Walk On By” and “Let Yourself Go” to her credit. On “Troubled Waters” she returns with her raspy impassioned vocal style that can never be denied. Teaming up with New York producer Matthias Heilbronn to bring a deep soulful stirring to the mix with two distinctly New York meets Philly house vibes. Frankie Knuckles & Eric Kupper as “Director’s Cut” add the instant classic flavor with a flawless approach. Enveloping “the song” with a perfect music bed to let it breathe and soar. DJ Spen’s MuthaFunkaz camp bring the bang for the buck with their signature Baltimore beat heavy gospel stamp on it. It’s certified for sure. Rounding things out is a fun foray into the psychedelic disco sound of the 80’s. Steve Hawley & Sage Schwarm of Codebreaker offer a cool departure and altogether different take on the tune with a fresh, trippy and synth heavy remix.
