Funk Mediterraneo – Red Balls EP [Blockhead]

House Music For The True House Heads!!!

This ep has remixes from Wattie Green, Souljay, and Mr. Clean. All mixes bring the funk and are suitable in any house head party.

First up we’ve got Mr. Clean’s version. Think Dj Sneak back in the late 90’s. Thats the vibe he brings on this one. Mr. Clean’s remix has been getting hammered by Mark Farina for the past few months. Farina put it on his Podcast small asteroid in August and has also been rocking it at various clubs throughout the world. Here’s a quick video of him dropping the red balls hammer!

Next up we’ve got the always on fire Wattie Green. He brings his signature sound to the table which is laden with funky, jazzy horns and vocal snippets throughout. Cocaine in a can baby!!!! Funny and sick at the same time.

Souljay takes it a bit dubbier all the while keeping the same amount of funk. This one has a really funky bassline and horn snippets in all the right places. Good on ya Jay!

Kings Of Tomorrow Featuring April – Take Me Back [Defected]

preview

– Strikingly current yet hauntingly retrospective, ‘Take Me Back’ represents Sandy Rivera’s best work in recent memory and further cements his reputation as one of the greatest house producers of all time. Having chased down new collaborator April and persuaded her to provide the vocals for the track (he heard her singing as she rode past him on a bicycle), Rivera lays on subtle keys and a wandering bass line, underpinning a beautifully restrained song and resulting in a modern-day classic.Kings Of Tomorrow featuring April ‘Take Me Back’ (Sandy Rivera’s Original Mix) Written and Produced by Sandy Rivera for Kings Of Tomorrow ProductionsVocals Written and Performed by April MorganPublished by Defected MusicPandC 2011 Defected Records Limited
