‘Because of you’ will be impressed in your mind, for sure. That’s really crazy!!!
The mad piano of ‘Bulldog’ and supa saxophones of ‘Francisco’ will complete your funky trip in the recording studio of Mark Funk.

For RSR’s 8th release we have something very special and one of the most diverse packages yet !
“Hypnotize Me” comes with a plethora of mixes, from party jackin, melodic and soulful, big room dubbed out, through to the floor filling bass heavy remixes from Grammy Award nominee, Jay-J.
Random Soul’s original mix has been getting some serious airplay in their live shows ‘down under’ the past few months, as has their uber soulful “Classic Mix” which is sure to keep the ripples shimmering across the pool’s at WMC this year.
“Yogi & Husky’s RSR Dub” steps up the vibe with a cut up affair, utilizing Will Farge’s sax to build up a frenzy before looping you late into an ibiza style night.
Jay-J, of Shifted Music has lent his legendary underground chuggy sound to this already jam packed EP, to give it yet another approach for a different time of the night. His unique, constantly building string arrangements will have clubs rocking all over the world… Pure class !
The B-Side of this EP is anything but a B-Side Jam. “When We Ride” is another jacked up party tune, featuring horns, cut up vocals and a funky-ass live bass that will have any girls booty rockin..
Yogi then infuses his love for sleazy disco and boogie with an interpretation anyone can bump and grind to. This is one seriously funked up remix and it will most definitely find it’s way up the charts of all the disco/funk lovers among us !
No nonsense, quality music here.. enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it !
SELECTED DJ FEEDBACK
Souldynamic (Purple Music) – Thanks for this cool package!! Hypnotize Me is really nice! funky atmosphere and soul vibes!!
When we ride rocks tha house!! in our next Purple Music radio show! full support!
The Sound Diggers (Flapjack/Chunky traxx) – wicked lads ! one of the best labels about at the moment ! props !
DJ Mes (Guesthouse) – “When we ride” – that’s the business there!
Christos Kedras (Kapa Music) – Classic Instrumental for me, really feeling the jazzy action, like it front stage in the instr version.
Dave Allison (Kinjo/Editorial/Alphabet) – Snap! RSR back at it again, for me it’s all about “When we ride” here. Dirty bassline, bumpin beats and sweet Rhodes, this will get lots of play….but hold up, Yogi’s Boogie Bump is dope slo- mo action too! Great for my pitched down sets. full support over here.
Shane D (Look At You/Soulmagic) – Love the original version of Hypnotize Me. Will be banging this out for a long time. Respect !
Lewis Ferrer (Reelgroove) – Top stuff guys !! Nice laid back vibe. Main mix and classic mix are my pics. And lovin’ the Yogi’s RSR Boogie Bump 😉
Soulmagic (Purple Music/Soulfuric Deep) – Guys, this is serious fire. Not a single filler in this package. All DOPE!
Niels Schroder/Dutchican Soul (Salted/Panevino) – Guys!! Really lovin the new ep! Hypnotize Me (Original Mix) is dopeness!! Also ‘When We Ride’ is very cool. Will be supporting this EP big time..
Ray Colclough (Street beat Radio) – Another jam packed release.. RSR always give loads of choice.. lovely work.. Diggin When We Ride original & Yogi & Husky Dub of Hypnotize Me, Full support
Arco (Salted/Tango) – Hypnotize me’ EP is actually the best release on the RS label for me!! QUALITY
Christian Alvarez (Delecto/Salted) – I feel like I’m a broken record, Another quality release from RSR. Never a doubt the shiz is going to be hot. Full support from me once again. Was there ever a doubt?
Joshua Heath (Golden State/Drop Music) – nice ep fellas, for the house stuff, the RSR Dub of Hypnotize is the one for me. really love the boogie bump on when we ride though
Ricardo Torres (West Coast Collective) – The ‘boys from down under’ keep raising the bar. RSR008 is a gem for any DJs virtual crate or CD wallet. The remixes for ‘Hypnotize Me’ really have something for everyone. From the real soulful tip like the original to the big room rework from the one and only Jay-J (Shifted Up Mix). Jay-J makes this track big and his production skills and experience shine on this track. Wouldn’t expect anything less from one of the originators of what we call the “West Coast Sound”. My favorite version is the Classic Mix. This is the kind of sound that has always drawn me to House Music and I don’t really care what the new thing is, I’ll always come back to this. It’s timeless and super groovy.
‘When We Ride’ is an awesome bonus to this release where that familiar Random Soul sound that is very distinct is forefront. A little bit of jackin’ with a flavor of deep. Perfect when transitioning sounds on the dance floor. The Boogie Bump slows down the track but still keeps it rocking and I love the horns.
Full support for both titles on the radio show and the dance floor. Keep em’ coming boys!
D-Reflection (Adaptation) – The Hypnotize Me RSR dub is amazing. Very original. Will surely rock WMC and I will give it some spins in Holland during that time! The Classic mix is great as well.
Andrew Chibale (Salted/Grouper) – what can i say .. all promos here are just great .. very difficult to pick a favorite as there are enough versions for everyone out there. 5/5, will support!
The House Inspectors (Inspected Music/Guesthouse) – For everyone out there that’s saying house music is dying, you can eat this record right here! So funky and soulful and would put anyone in the mood to jam out. Our picks are “Hypnotize Me” Random Soul Classic Mix and “When We Ride” Original. Great realease boys!!

It’s time again for another super fat platter of breakfast beats goodness from Flapjack Records. “The Flapjack Sampler Platter Vol. 2” is our new special creation using just the right sized helpings of some seriously enormous sounds. This compilation of culinary genius was hand-picked by all the healthy and lively listeners of the Flapjack Radio broadcast who participated in the Wicked Or Wack section of the show over all of last year. So consider yourselves connoisseurs of great taste and aficionados of freaky good beats.
Francis Jilla makes his triumphant return to the platter with his sexy n saucy boot “Dreams”. You can’t mistake a good vocal jam when it’s piled high on your platter dripping with a rock groove. Soak your earholes in this one and hit your target dance floor right between the thighs.
Next on the platter is a generous portion of “Swag Jackin” by Flapjack new jack Bernard Jones. Bernard gives us a little taste of the hood with a meaty portion of bass that shakes bins and will move roll the grits right off your plate. Sop this jam up with a fork load of funk or just pour it right down your gullet for maximum jack experience.
Another new face in the Flapjack kitchen from across the pond is B.Original. He burns us like a kitchen fire with his down in gritty home recipe ripper “Anything You Need”. This is one of those savory bits like a bag of your favorite chips. Once you get into that bag, there is no going back, but only this time the beats just keep getting phatter and not your belly.
Right smack dab in the center of the platter sits a heaping hot harmonious hunk of funk from Flapjack veteran culinary specialist and practicing horticulturist Jeff Service. His cut of beats “J Train” is the portion on the platter you have to save for last because you know it always goes down so good on the dance floor. So if you are djing on an empty stomach, then this is the perfect thing for you to order up. Grab some silverware, headphone, and enjoy “The Flapjack Sampler Platter Vol. 2”.
