Following his 2010 Rhythm Section EP, Dave Mayer is back with another fistful of funky grooves topped off with Roland Clarke’s unmistakable spoken word musings. Funky Like That sees Roland in vintage form while Mayer works the room with a set of keys-led deep beats, Jask and Random Soul contributing their flavours to a solid set of mixes. And not yet finished, Mayer rounds things off with two further cuts, the out on the terrace inspired Get Back and the smoky swirls of Come On.
