Enveloping the melodic hook of the pennywhistle, Jah Rich’s decipherable vocals provide pace to the track. A backbone of encouragement, that lifts you on to your feet. It is hard to ignore the call to be part of music from this highly engaging and uniquely nourishing performer. The recent passing of Rich lends a sad, yet poignant twist to the beautifully hypnotic and enriching sound of ‘Clap Your Hands’.
Great consideration over remixes was given, the release includes work by -Justin Imperiale, currently making big moves on the scene with an impressive array of collaborations for prominent labels and a revered show on Smoothtraxx Radio. LA producer Jose Marquez charged by the sounds of deep afro latin soul responsible for Celia Cruz, Elegua; Nina Simone, Black Bird; and Oumou Sangare – Mogo Te De Diva Bee Ye. And not forgetting Honey Combs chief aficionado Josh Milan of the legendary group Blaze, whose remix delivers an artful Afro beat arrangement in homage to Fela Kuti.
The accompanying music video, directed by Justin Campos and produced by Gorilla films was filmed on location in a village in South Africa with the whole community, to great visual effect, involved.
