Phil Weeks and Robsoul Rec. release the second remix package from the recent Love Affair LP, with Phil Asher taking control on new versions of In The Mood. Weeks original version was regarded as one of his albums standout tracks, crafted on no more than an MPC3000 sampler, and is included here. House veteran Asher, also known as part of the Restless Soul production team and record label, chops and splices the originals elements over a driving club-focused groove on three separate versions. As with all of Robsouls output, In The Mood will be released on vinyl and digital formats.Phil Weeks and Robsoul Recordings release the second remix package from the recent Love Affair LP, with Phil Asher taking control on new versions of In The Mood. House veteran Asher, also known as part of the Restless Soul production team and record label, chops and splices the originals elements over a driving club-focused groove on three separate versions. As with all of Robsouls output, In The Mood will be released on vinyl and digital formats. The release is part of a series of five remix EPs of Love Affair album tracks. Future installments will include new versions by Robsoul favourites DJ Sneak, Hector Moralez, DJ W!LD, DJulz, Dan Ghenacia and Chris Carrier, alongside label debutants Inland Knights, Dyed Soundorom and Gramophonedzie. The first EP (All Day Every Day ROBSOUL97) is due for imminent release with Joss Moog, Chris Simmonds and Sonny Fodera on remix duties. Phil Asher is a highly regarded player in the world of house music, and much further afield. Averse to being labeled musically (Dont ask me what I play, I hate pigeonholing?¦jazz, latin, all the classics, a bit of disco and funk, cutting-edge house music?¦I play music from every category as long as its good: Quality timeless music, with big production.) he has excelled across a range of genres and styles producing approximately 100 original works and countless remixes. He works with Luke McCarthy as the Restless Soul production team, which also incorporates producers Modaji (Laws of Motion Records) Taxi Driver (Estereo Records) and Roy the Roach, and runs a record label under the same name. He also produces under various aliases including Basic Soul and Electric Soul with Luke McCarthy, Woolph, Phoojun (alongside Nathan Haines), and 12-bit Rephugees with Mark de Clive-Lowe.
