Sunlightsquare band leader Claudio Passavanti surpasses himself with his gigantic new recording venture andlsquo;Britannia Shing-A-Lingandrsquo;. Recorded at Miloco Studios, London, Claudio enlisted 25 musicians andamp; vocalists (A BIG BAND!) to take part in this phenomenal live album project, using no more technology than that was available in the early 1970andrsquo;s. andnbsp; The result is an electric feel-good celebration of Northern Soul, Rare Groove, Boogaloo and Rhumba classics entwined with new original material, all served with that signature Sunlightsquare Latin twist! Kicking off the ‘Britannia Shing-A-Ling’ party, the first single unleashed from the project is the incredible Wilson Pickett 1966 soulful gem ‘Land Of 1000 Dances’. Brilliantly sung by US vocal talent Brendan Reilly (of Basement Jaxx fame), the monstrous Sunllightsquare band deliver a live melting pot of latin beats, keys and percussion, giving way to mighty brass stabs, infectious backing vocals, a sublime tumpet frenzy, showcasing their impeccable musicianship, oozing with atmosphere and joy!
